Description

I've been putting up pictures of nothing but long bows, so here's a shorty for you guys to take a look at. It's an older bow of mine, just took the pictures tonight. Expect some new pics in future as I also prettied it up tonight. So, about the title.

Seriously, this is a picture of my shortest bow to date. I had been seriously worried about it. The limbs are both good, the siyahs are on straight. Yet I kept getting that wierd hinging on the top limb at 28 inches, but I am definitely happy with it.

It's only a 30-pounder, probably a 40 pounder if I ever get the nerve to try it at 32 inches, and is only 47 inches nock to nock, 48 inches overall, and a grand total of 43 inches long when strung.

It may be a light weight, but it flings arrows like a beast. This thing is light and fast. It does scare me a full draw, just because the limbs go inward, but that's common for this style of bow. It's my take on a Mogolian composite bow done with maple, hemp, and high density plastic instead of birch, sinew, and horn. All in all, a great little bow.

These bows are definitely pushing the materials to the limit. I still have to try to build one. Was it difficult?
