Patriot Arrows

This is a set of six poplar wood target arrows. They are 30" long, 5/16" in diameter and have transparent blue plastic glue-on nocks, and the points are 70 grain steel field points. These arrows are hand-spined for 35-45 pounds. They are also fletched by hand with red white and blue turkey feathers, hence the name "Patriot" (not to be confused with the Patriot Arrow as used in the film Robin Hood : Men in Tights).

The arrow shafts have been hand-shaped and sanded, and are finished with a burned striping pattern and a hand-rubbed lacquer finish. The first 1/8" of the fletchings are also wrapped with artificial sinew to prevent the quills from catching and shearing off. This is particularly important for anyone who shoots without an arrow shelf, to prevent feathers from getting stuck in the hand.

These are my favorite all-around shooting arrows as they can go up against rocks, trees, dirt, stumps, and walls and still be shot again and again.
